Students aged 16 to 19, permanently resident in Greater Manchester and in full time education are eligible to apply for a TfGM Scholar’s Concessionary Permit. This permit will allow travel at the concessionary half fare for journeys on buses within Greater Manchester and concessionary child fare on trains and Metrolink trams. You can download the application form here.

We have plenty of secure facilities for bikes and cycle-friendly routes that link the surrounding areas to Salford Quays. There are over 300 cycle bays across the MediaCityUK site.

We recommend students and staff cycle in.

MediaCityUK has its own tram stop, which is just minutes from the main entrance to our campus.

The Metrolink network has frequent services into Eccles, central Manchester and beyond.

MediaCityUK is served by a number of dedicated bus routes offering journeys to Manchester City Centre, Salford Crescent and other destinations in South Manchester.
