Open to all
We are a state school, funded by the Department of Education. There are no fees and no entrance exam.
Key Stage 4
There are no specific entry requirements to join us in Year 10. Pupils must demonstrate a strong interest in the Creative and Digital Industries and attend a pathway meeting to discuss their options.
Key Stage 5
We do have specific entry requirements for Year 12.
Students expecting to achieve a minimum of 5 A*– C grades at GCSE can study:
- Edexcel Extended Diploma in Creative Media (equivalent of three A levels) or
- Diploma in Creative Media Production (equivalent of two A levels)
- Up to two A level choices (from options list)
- Extended Project Qualification
We expect most students to study for the 3 A Level BTEC and 1 or 2 A Levels. The straight BTEC route is open for a small cohort of students to follow.
Please note we have a maximum of 200 places for Year 12 in September 2017. We have a set number of places for each of our 4 pathways.
We expect our existing Year 11 to be applying so places are limited.
Be interested and engaged!
The more engaged you are, the more successful you are likely to be. So we like to see an existing interest in some aspect of digital technology, new media or broadcasting. This could take the form of an interest in designing 3D characters, recording and producing audio tracks on a computer or helping out with the sets at the local theatre.
